Requirements:

Shift: Mon-Thurs 8am – 4:30pm, Fri 8am – 4pm (Training shift TBD but will be mornings)

To Manage and purchase raw materials to ensure production demands are met.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1 Run MRP daily to determine material shortages.
2 Purchase required materials (ink, paper, foil & emboss dies, cello, foil, corrugated cases, and other special items). May prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment. Reviews product specification to accurately determine amounts needed for stock. Documents process orders for paper and other production related outside services. Adjusts amounts for existing inventory.
3 Works closely with Scheduler, Sales and Account Manager, and Customer Service Representatives to meet scheduled production demands. Manage on-hand inventory, expected receipts of inventory, production schedule allowances, and customer demands.
4 Maintains accurate vendor pricing in the ERP system and research mew materials.
5 Schedule Roll Stock trucks as needed per production schedule (24 hours prior). Expedite materials, help facilitate OTD, and ensure accuracy of material delivery dates. ASN Roll Stock entry and implementation. Track and place roll stock/outside service claims.
6 Inventory- Physically check all inventory stock levels, replenish if needed, and communicate with accounting. Track stock arrival dates and ensure timely delivery. Check mill schedules and communicate with offsite inventory storage (IEDS). Figure out stock solutions when inventory shortfalls occur. Communicate with pertinent parties. Research stock short falls, sheeter report errors, stock account for the week. Recalculate inventory and print out reports from Inventory Reports, board on order report. Close outstanding POs in ERP Software (if under-run), then ensure the amount of stock on order is correct. Sign off on IEDS bills.
7 Allocate stock- to all jobs from prior day jobs and when changes occur, check inventory levels. Order stock when needed. Put allocations on schedule. Any stock arrival issues discuss with Customer Service Representative and Sales Production Manager. If partials, estimate how much stock will be needed. Enter receiving information.
8 Manage Out Sourcing. Prepare purchase orders. Coordinate with all necessary parties to meet customer needs.
9 Back up scheduler when needed. Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times, as assigned to back up Scheduler.
10 Back up and assist Purchasing Agent (as needed) in ordering and buying activities.
11 While the regular working cycle of this production is usually four-(10) hour days on a Monday- Thursday, or a scheduled weekend shift Three-(12) hour days on Friday-Sunday, and administrative position working five-(8) hour days Monday-Friday; working hours may vary as specified by management. Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management.
12 Regular and predictable attendance is required between the assigned start and end times of work.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Education:

Broad training in a related professional field usually acquired through High School education or equivalent combination knowledge, skills, education or work-related experience.
Job related experience for 6 months minimum administrative tasks in manufacturing environment.
