The Quality Systems Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all QA staff in the absence of the DQM. Assist the Director of Quality Management (DQM) in the development of initiatives to improve plant performance against established quality measures resulting in reduced product holds and customer complaints. Ensure plant compliance with company and regulatory standards including compliance to AIB standards; proactively manage and mentor Quality personnel. Demonstrate integrity, respect, teamwork, and equity in all aspects of the job including but not limited to: consulting with employees and customers, and ensuring the plant has adequate controls and programs in place to comply with all regulations, and customer requirements.
Ensure that appropriate records are maintained and that a well-documented tracking and recall program exists. Train employees on all aspects of the program.
Design and implement adequate tests and procedures to provide statistically significant controls for the safe manufacture of products.
Assist the DQM in directing the staff responsible for quality control testing. Ensuring that the staff participate in training activities to stay current with regulatory and industry requirements.
Establish and maintain color standards and Ink draw downs
Assist DQM with Writing, maintaining, and ensuring compliance with new product specifications.
Serves as safety model; promote a high level of safety awareness and continuous improvement practices. Assures and maintains safe and healthful working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations.
Commit to ensuring that products produced meet all food safety and quality requirements
Responsible for the initial evaluation of customer product quality issues
Ensures effective procedures, tools and record keeping are managed through DQM.
Adheres to company GMP’s (good manufacturing practices), safety procedures and all other quality processes.
Review manufacturing shop floor documentation.
