We are a manufacturer of custom paperboard packaging and folding cartons, delivering consistent, high-quality results from initial design through final production. Our integrated process covers structural design, prepress, printing, and finishing—ensuring every carton meets exact specifications and performs on press, on the line, and on the shelf.
Your packaging plays a critical role in how your product is perceived. We produce cartons with custom inks, durable coatings, and precision die-cutting to create packaging that is visually strong, structurally sound, and built for real-world distribution. See our creative packaging in action.
Sonderen’s team combines experienced project management with highly skilled production staff, all supported by modern, state-of-the-art equipment. We focus on practical solutions that improve efficiency, control costs, and shorten lead times—without sacrificing quality or consistency.

Structural Design
Each package we produce is designed to suit our customers’ unique needs.
We work closely with our customers during the R&D phase to develop a package that fits their product perfectly for optimal protection, that functions flawlessly, and is also attractive.
We produce sample cartons on our Computer-Aided Design table. Our customers generally supply us with their product and a few basic design specifications. Next, we create samples for them to test and approve.
Once the carton is approved, we will email an electronic die line (structural outline) for the art designers to place their graphics.
We customarily design our cartons to use paperboard that ranges from .012 to .030 in thickness.
Pre-Press
Our pre-press department is efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. They ensure our customers' artwork prints correctly. Our customers can provide graphics via FTP sites, WeTransfer, Sharefile, or email. The file size will determine the best method of file transfer.
Our team is happy to answer any questions upfront so that the process is smooth and efficient, which saves our customers money.
Our Prepress Department offers color proofs utilizing gmgColor proofing software, three-dimensional PDF's, and mockups/prototypes.

Printing
Where ink goes on paper, and the shelf appeal takes shape. Our Printing Department has 40” and 57” printing press capabilities, which results in the ability to be flexible with our schedule when necessary.
This flexibility results in shorter turnaround times and the ability to meet our customers’ needs quickly and efficiently while maintaining quality. Our printing department offers several different types of coating, soy-based process inks, and U.V. inks and coatings.
We also use spot UV for a high-gloss contrast effect, and provide printing on the inside of the carton, resulting in unique finishes that will surprise and delight consumers.
We also have a mini ink plant under our roof. Managed by INX international, they ensure that we do not run out of ink and have the ability to create special colors outside of the Pantone gamut, and ink proofs called drawdowns.

Foil, Emboss, and Cello Window
Dress up your paperboard packaging with these specialty options that we can apply at our manufacturing facility.
Foil Stamping delivers a brilliant, eye-catching shine that elevates your packaging and reinforces a premium product experience. With a wide range of colors and textures available, the possibilities are nearly endless.
Embossing adds depth and dimension to your carton, creating a tactile element your customers can see and feel. Logos, images, or patterns are all excellent candidates—and for even greater impact, embossing can be combined with foil stamping.
Cellophane windows are a great solution when product visibility is essential. Window shapes and sizes are fully customizable, and we handle the details from start to finish.

Die Cutting
Your package must also be cut, scored, and perforated where necessary. The cutting department at Sonderen Packaging takes care of this step by utilizing our large and small format cutting presses.
The cutting department takes pride in ensuring the cartons form correctly, whether they are hand or machine loaded. We also create and maintain, and inventory the cutting dies in our plant.
Once you purchase a cutting die, you will never have to pay for another unless you change the structure of the package.
Finishing
Precise folding and gluing of the cartons are executed in the finishing department.
Finishing takes great care in making sure that the cartons are glued in the proper place and with the correct amount of glue to be strong and durable.
The finishing department is also the final quality check before your product is packed into custom-sized corrugated cases and shipped to you.
