We are looking for a Unicorn, aka an experienced die-cutting operator. Our die-cutting operators work on state-of-the-art Bobst die-cutting equipment. They are a tight-knit team of skilled folks who assist one another when troubleshooting and making adjustments to solve problems during runs. They also provide each other make-ready support and ongoing training. There are several opportunities to increase your hourly wage through learning and cross-training in this department. An experienced die-cutting operator must be self-motivated to meet and exceed production goals by operating the cutting press and equipment within the established efficiencies and run speeds, while still producing a quality product. All Sonderen employees are expected to maintain a safe environment by keeping the work area neat, clean, and free of hazards. Our cutting department maintains a high level of quality comprised of a team of individuals dedicated to their craft, with combined experience of 80+ years!

Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent with six (6 months) experience with hands-on mechanical skills
- Cutting experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal communication.
- Ability to communicate timely with coworkers and supervisor in order to know which jobs to run throughout the day.
- Learn to trouble shoot problems and do preventive maintenance as needed.
