Shift: 2pm-10pm (Mon-Fri) must be flexible
Know all daily scheduling. Know and communicate the machines and job priorities. Attend meetings (in absence of Dept. Manager) to help strategize with shipping. Assist in maximizing production. Work with other departments as needed.
Make critical decisions, including whether or not to run a job due to questions of functionality. All new internal press checks on swing shift.
Understand and know the emergency action plan. Responsible for visitors and plant safety. Oversee all night accidents and ensure proper medical process is followed.
Understand lean manufacturing implementation in Printing and Sheeting department. Responsible for communicating detailed information on previous night operations as needed.
Review job ticket for special instructions and information. Advise management on department machinery needs. Work directly with maintenance department to ensure machines are functioning properly.
Train Pressmen on machine usage. Backup Pressmen, general machine maintained as needed. Troubleshoot problems that arise on machines. Help maximize output and delivery of quality product.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with all operators through shift transitions. Responsible for clean and organized department. Share files electronically with other departments.
While the regular working cycle of this production is usually five 8- hour days Monday-Friday; working hours may vary as specified by management. Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management.
Regular and predictable attendance is required between the assigned start and end times of work.
Assures and maintains safe and healthful working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Education:
Broad training in a related professional field usually acquired through education or an equivalent combination knowledge, skills, education or work-related experience.
Lead press operator related experience for five (5) years in Production Printing Department minimum.
Working knowledge of the following areas:
Ability to run all printing/sheeting department machinery.
Ability to lead teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals.
